Unbabel raises $23 million from Microsoft, Salesforce, others to grow its machine-human translation platform
Unbabel, a Lisbon-based machine translation platform, has just raised $23. It merges neural machine translation, natural language processing (NLP) and human translation.
“The world’s biggest global brands are realizing that there’s a huge gap between basic translation and real communication when localizing for different regions,” noted Unbabel CEO and cofounder Vasco Pedro. “Nothing puts customers off more than a lack of care to communicate in their own language.”

Netatmo’s Smart Home Bot uses AI to let you text commands to your devices
The French company Netatmo allows their users to text to control their devices using Facebook Messenger.
